School Board
The School Board of Buckingham Friends School consists of 18 members, at least 12 of whom are members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). The other members represent parents and members of the community at large. The rich tradition of Buckingham Friends extends well over 200 years and it is the responsibility of the School Board to ensure that the Quaker mission of Buckingham Friends endures into the future.
All decisions by the School Board are made in the manner of Friends in accordance with the sense of the meeting as determined by the clerk. It is a process which respects the input of all present and patiently waits for divine guidance to seek the proper decision in any issues under consideration. Therefore, votes are never taken.
It is a pleasure and honor to serve as clerk of the Buckingham Friends School Board. We are so fortunate to have a K-8 school with such a rich tradition and mission. As we adapt to changes necessary to be current with educational trends and technology, the School Board will ensure the fundamental Quaker principles, which need never change, will remain the basis of each child’s experience at the school.
Respectfully,
Daryl Renschler, Clerk
