Global Commitment
Buckingham Friends School works to instill values that guide students in caring for the people and resources of the world. The well-being of the earth is a fundamental spiritual concern and we strive to extend our sense of community to encompass all living things.
Students and faculty examine and consider the ways in which the Quaker testimonies of peace, equality and simplicity interact to guide our relationships with all life. Members of the school community are encouraged to walk gently on the earth, becoming models for responsible consumption and sharing of the earth’s resources and to participate in activities that promote equality, social justice and peace in a global environment.
In this era we promote a vision of a new world order that recognizes the essential unity of a human family sharing a fragile planet.
