A coed Quaker school for grades K through 8

The wood shop is a place where children are encouraged to expand ideas, develop skills, explore creativity, and to build on abstract concepts with concrete activities. Students learn real-life skills with a positive attitude and develop fine and gross motor skills using saws, hammers, drills and screwdrivers while improving problem solving and reasoning abilities. Students often build furniture, replicate the work of famous artists, and create functional artwork and tools. The May Art Show exhibits student work and showcases the depth and breadth of the curriculum.
