Twenty-three students and two teachers from Collège Saint-Exupéry in France joined the Buckingham Friends School community for eight days of learning and connection. Their visit is part of BFS’s Language & Cultural Exchange Program within the Joint Environmental Mission (JEM), an international partnership founded in 1991 to promote cross-cultural collaboration and environmental awareness.
Throughout the week, students from all divisions will engage with their French guests through academic programming and enrichment activities—including the school’s beloved Halloween festivities. Upper School students will team up with their visitors for an environmental trip to Riverfront Preserve and a historical tour of Philadelphia. The visit will also feature a highlight event: the Upper School Dance, open to all BFS and visiting students.
This exchange builds on last March’s memorable journey, when eight BFS Upper School students traveled to Hautmont, France, to live and learn alongside students and families from Collège Saint-Exupéry—continuing a meaningful partnership that bridges cultures and fosters lifelong friendships.
