At Buckingham Friends School, every student in grades 1–8 gets the chance to explore design and construction in the school’s remarkable new Woodshop. The updated space provides expanded opportunities for hands-on learning, allowing students to bring their ideas to life while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
From planning a project to selecting materials and building, students gain practical skills while expressing themselves through woodworking, inspiring students to take on ambitious designs and discover new ways to collaborate and innovate.
The Woodshop is just one example of how BFS integrates experiential learning into every grade, helping students build confidence, resilience, and a love of making.
