After-School Programs

after-schoolOur After-School program is held in the Jane Jackson House every day from 3:00 to 5:45 pm. The program offers a warm home environment where students of all ages gather in the kitchen to enjoy snacks and share stories at the end of their school day.  Often, the snacks are homemade, prepared right in our kitchen by faculty and students. Children have the choice of playing and exploring indoors or outdoors—with a wide variety of games, toys, and crafts. A quiet space is also offered for students to complete their homework and unwind from their school day.

After School Clubs
During each of three terms, we offer a variety of after-school clubs that help students find and expand their own talents and interests. Recent clubs have included: Clay, Cooking, Birding, Choir, Lego Robotics, Guitar, Piano, Acting & Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Gymnastics, Yoga, Running,  Outdoor Adventures, and Zumba

At Buckingham Friends School, we take play seriously—regardless of age. Daily outdoor time for play, socializing, and physical activity is woven into the curriculum across all grade levels. Students now enjoy two new playgrounds—one for the Lower School and one for the Middle and Upper Schools—created with student input and designed to support developmentally appropriate, imaginative, and joyful outdoor learning.
Every activity sparks confidence, curiosity, and connection because at BFS, learning is an adventure for every student. That’s Positively BFS!
