Buckingham Friends School seeks a new Part-Time Upper School Accelerated Math Teacher beginning in September 2021. This part-time, 10-month position, includes responsibility for the curriculum and teaching of one section each of the 6th and 7th grade Accelerated Math classes; working closely with and maintaining positive and effective relationships with the other Upper School (6, 7, 8) math teacher, and other Upper School teachers; developing and implementing curricula aligned to national standards; partnering and communicating regularly and effectively with parents; writing progress reports and maintaining student records; advancing the School’s mission as a Friends school, aligning with the School’s core values and philosophy, and actively supporting the School’s strategic plan; and assisting with admissions. The successful candidate will have experience teaching at the middle school level, a background in mathematics education and curriculum development, and a demonstrated track record of contributing to their former school(s) and their future vision, community, and culture. Experience preferred. Compensation based on experience.
