Current Openings:

Buckingham Friends School seeks to expand our network of tutors to refer to families.  We are looking for tutors experienced in providing individualized support for students in academic areas and/or organizational and study skills. One of our goals is to coordinate times and provide tutoring space during the school day. Training in ELA programs and methods, and coaching executive functioning skills is a plus. BFS is a coed, K-8 school with a vigorous secondary school-preparatory program. BFS is seeking qualified, experienced applicants for per diem substitute teaching for the 2023-24 school year. Buckingham Friends School seeks a playful, energetic, and attentive individual to assist with our After School Program. Interested candidates should enjoy engaging with children of varying ages in an unstructured/free-play environment within our beautiful wooded campus. The individual must be available for the After School Program from 2:45-6pm. The position starts this fall on most weekday afternoons.

P/T After School Assistant Responsibilities include:

  • Gather and walk Lower School students to the after school building
  • Prepare and serve snacks
  • Engage with and monitor students inside and outside
  • Take attendance and record when students are picked up
  • Clean up after school building and exterior playground area at the end of each day
  • Get students to and from Clubs when needed
  • Occasionally write an incident report (if they were the one who witnessed the incident)
