Due to the predicted snow accumulation, Buckingham Friends School will be closed for a snow day. No classes will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Be safe and enjoy the snow!
In keeping with guidance from the Governor’s office, the PA Department of Education, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and other professionals and experts, Buckingham Friends School has created a comprehensive, innovative campus-use plan for the 2020-2021 school year that gives us the ability and flexibility to live our mission and core values, deliver our program, and provide for the health and safety of our community on our campus and in our classroom environments.

I write to offer a warm welcome to everyone and share a few thoughts as we begin a new school year – our 226th year – at Buckingham Friends School. But first, the big news is that 45 new students (and 38 new families) have joined and are already contributing to the quality of our school community and culture this year.

For the health and safety of our community, Buckingham Friends School has pivoted to a temporary period of distance learning from December 1st through December 18th. During this time, students will be fully engaged by our dedicated teachers, who will utilize innovative resources and deliver our broad program and schedule in a manner true to our mission, core values, and philosophy. We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus for in-person learning following our Winter Break.
